Solid steel mould with space to bake 12 beautiful madeleines at a time. The mould’s distinctive shape gives the small classic cakes a beautiful and elegant look – exactly how a real madeleine should look. Madeleines are light and airy cakes, named after the French pastry chef Madeleine Paulmier, and with this mould you get the classic shape and an even, consistent result every time.
Grease the mould with baking spray so the cakes release easily. Bake only until they just spring back when gently pressed – small cakes can quickly be left in the oven for too long. The mould can withstand temperatures up to 230°C. It is not suitable for use in a microwave or freezer, but it is dishwasher safe. Avoid using sharp objects that may damage the surface.
