Pillivuyt's ovenproof porcelain also withstands thermal shock from -30°C to +350°C - so you can take the dish out of the freezer and put it directly into a hot oven.
This means you can easily prepare a pie, lasagne or anything else and then freeze the dish so you can pop it in the hot oven whenever you want. The unique properties of porcelain are due to the special porcelain mass and the extremely high temperature at which it is fired.
Pillivuyt porcelain also has the added benefit of absorbing and distributing heat in an optimal way, so your food stays warm long after it has been removed from the oven.
