Cast iron pots and pans can withstand very high temperatures and have a unique ability to retain heat for a long time, so the food can be kept warm on the dinner table. A cast iron pan is a particularly good choice for frying steaks or fish, which need cooking over a high heat for a short time. This creates a proper crust, and keeps the juice in the meat. Vegetables, e.g. root vegetables, can also be fried in the pan, to create a delicious crust.

Cast iron is an extremely durable material that is almost indestructible if you ensure proper care and maintenance. Wash with hot water. Make sure the cast iron is completely dry before putting it away. Can be treated with oil. Morsø cast iron can be recycled.
