The porcelain is not only highly resistant to knocks and impacts – Pillivuyt’s ovenproof porcelain also withstands thermal shock from -30 °C to +350 °C. This means you can take a dish straight from the freezer and place it directly into a hot oven. Whether you’re preparing a tart, a lasagne or something else entirely, you can freeze it in the dish and then bake it whenever it suits you. These unique properties are due to the special porcelain clay and the extremely high firing temperature used in production.
Pillivuyt porcelain also has the added benefit of absorbing and distributing heat in an optimal way – helping food stay warm long after it’s left the oven.
