Morsø Black Fossil is a range of modern pots and pans in a beautiful design with a dark and exclusive look.
Fossils are preserved traces of organisms from prehistoric times, deposited at the bottom of the sea. Fossilised animals, plants and insects that more than 55 million years ago landed at the bottom of the sea where the island of Mors originated. That's why we call the series Black Fossil.
The body of the pots and pans in the series is made from 100% recycled aluminium. On the inside, the products have a black ceramic coating, on the outside they are sandblasted and given a heat-resistant black coating, and everything is produced without PFAS. Although the products look heavy, they feel light when you get them in your hands.
Black Fossil products are moulded in one piece with an induction base. The base is sprayed with metal particles, which means that the pots and pans are suitable for all heat sources, including induction. It also means you should lift them, not push them, when moving them on the hob to avoid scratches.
The handles and grips are made of cast steel with a matte black finish. Be aware that they can get very hot.
Black Fossil can be used in the oven, with lid up to 200°C, without lid up to 240°C. All types of utensils can be used on the coating, but we recommend wooden, plastic or silicone utensils. The products are dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing them by hand, even before first use.
