Instead, clean the mould in warm water without using soap to prevent the chocolate sticking. Wipe with a tea towel and then with cotton wool to ensure that all residue is removed from the grooves. If necessary, polish the mould with cotton wool before use.

Before the chocolate is set aside to cool, scrape off any excess chocolate to make it easier for it to come out of the mould. Once the chocolate is firm enough come out of the mould, invert the entire mould onto a clean tea towel and gently tap it on the countertop.
It is important when using real chocolate that it is always tempered precisely. If it is not tempered correctly, it will not be possible to get the chocolates out of the mould.
